Short answer. RingCentral AI Receptionist (AIR) starts at $49 a month on its own. That plan includes 100 minutes. If you add it to a RingEX phone plan, AIR starts at $39 a month plus $30 a month for RingEX Core. Past the included minutes, you pay $0.50 a minute. How minutes are billed

RingCentral bills extra minutes at $0.50 each, pay as you go. It counts time in 30-second steps and rounds up. A 61-second call counts as 1.5 minutes. RingCentral sells extra minute bundles. The page does not print bundle prices.

Spread over the 100 included minutes, the $49 plan works out to $0.49 a minute. That is close to the $0.50 overage rate.

What you get

RingCentral lists unlimited AI receptionists on the account. You pick from 8 voices. AIR works with any phone system through call forwarding or SIP. You do not have to switch carriers. RingCentral says AIR is HIPAA ready and SOC 2 certified. The page offers a free trial but does not print its length.

Standalone or bundle

If you keep your current phone carrier, the standalone plan is cheaper. You pay $49 and forward calls to AIR. If you want a new business phone system with it, the bundle adds RingEX Core lines, texting, and video meetings for $30 more.

RingCentral's plans page shows RingEX Core at two prices with a note that the price is paid by the year. It does not make clear which price applies to which case. We left the lower number out until RingCentral states it plain.
