LiveKit pricing (2026)

Short answer. LiveKit Cloud has four plans. Build is $0 a month with no credit card. Ship starts at $50 a month. Scale starts at $500 a month. Enterprise is custom. Ship includes 5,000 agent session minutes, then charges $0.01 a minute. LiveKit's own worked example for a phone agent comes to about $0.0412 a minute with models and telephony. We read LiveKit's pricing page and its plain-text pricing file on October 27, 2026.

Build lists no overage rate. Our read is that Build stops at its allowances, so a working phone line needs Ship or above. LiveKit does not say this in plain words, so confirm before you launch.

The bring-your-own row is LiveKit's connection fee. Your carrier, such as Twilio or Telnyx, bills its own call rate on top.

LiveKit's per-minute examples

LiveKit's plain-text pricing file walks through a Ship plan phone agent. It adds $0.0014 for the LLM, $0.0048 for speech to text, $0.0150 for text to speech, $0.0100 for the agent session, and $0.0100 for telephony. The total is about $0.0412 a minute. The calculator on the main pricing page shows a default of $0.0479 a minute, because it adds $0.0100 for observability and uses other model picks.

Both examples charge the agent session and telephony on every minute. They do not subtract the minutes each plan includes. Our math below does.

Our math. Models use LiveKit's worked example at $0.0212 a minute, less the $5 credit. Agent session minutes stay inside the 5,000 Ship includes. Ship says "starting at," so the plan fee may rise with usage.

Other line items

Session recordings cost $0.005 a minute past the allowance. Text simulations list $0.02 a turn and audio simulations list $0.05 a turn, shown as free "through Oct 31" with no year given. Private links on Scale cost $50 each plus $0.10 per GB.

Is LiveKit a fit for a trades shop?
